# Privacy Policy for Expiry Plus
Effective date: August 9, 2026
Expiry Plus is an inventory and expiry date management app designed to help users track products, stock batches, expiry dates, reports, backups, and reminders.
This Privacy Policy explains what information the app may store, how it is used, and what choices you have.
## Information We Store
Expiry Plus stores inventory data that you enter into the app, such as:
– Product names, categories, units, prices, shelf life, and barcode values
– Stock quantities, storage locations, suppliers, production dates, and expiry dates
– App settings, selected language, reminder settings, and feature preferences
– Google Calendar event IDs when calendar sync is enabled
This information is stored locally on your device unless you choose to export, share, back up, restore, or sync it with another service.
## Camera and Barcode Scanning
Expiry Plus may request camera permission so you can scan product barcodes. Camera access is used only for barcode scanning inside the app. The app does not record video, take photos, or upload camera content to our servers.
## Google Calendar Sync
If you choose to enable Google Calendar sync, Expiry Plus may create, update, or delete expiry reminder events in your Google Calendar.
Calendar sync is optional. The app uses Google Calendar access only to manage expiry reminder events that are created through Expiry Plus. You can disable calendar sync at any time from the app settings.
## Backups, Exports, and Sharing
Expiry Plus may allow you to export reports or create JSON backup files. These files can contain your product and stock data.
When you share or save a backup/export file, it is handled by the destination you choose, such as email, cloud storage, messaging apps, or your device file manager. Please only share backup files with services or people you trust.
## Advertising
Expiry Plus may display banner ads using Google AdMob. Ads are intended to be placed in a way that does not interrupt the main app experience.
AdMob may collect or use certain device and advertising-related information to serve and measure ads, depending on your device settings, consent choices, and Google policies.
## Data Collection by Us
We do not operate our own server to collect your inventory data. Your product, stock, backup, and report data remain on your device unless you choose to share, export, back up, or sync it using third-party services.
## Third-Party Services
Expiry Plus may use third-party services, including:
– Google AdMob for advertising
– Google Calendar for optional expiry reminder sync
– Device sharing services for backups and exported reports
These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.
## Data Deletion
You can delete your data from inside the app using the delete data feature. You may also uninstall the app to remove locally stored app data from your device, subject to your operating system behavior.
If you created backups, exported files, or synced calendar events, you may need to delete those separately from the location or service where they were saved.
## Children’s Privacy
Expiry Plus is not intended to collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through the app, please contact us so we can help address the issue.
## Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted with a new effective date.
